MarketWijs
How we calculate
MarketWijs is independent. No shop pays for a better place in the comparison.
01Where do the prices come from?
We read prices every hour from the supermarkets’ own websites and from Open Prices. Every price shows when we saw it. Prices older than 30 days are no longer used.
02Real or example?
A price labelled "Real" comes from the shop itself. Where we have no real price yet, we show an example price labelled "Demo". We never mix the two in one total.
03Fair comparison
We only compare the same product: same brand, same size. A shop can only be "cheapest" when we know the price of every product in the basket.
04Promotions
We only count a promotion when its conditions are written on the shop’s website. We never stack discounts.
05How do we make money?
When you click through to a shop, we may receive a small fee. Sponsored spots are always clearly marked "Sponsored" and never change the price comparison.
